STOP... DON'T THINK!

Why is it that we struggle between the thoughts of our pasts, presents, and futures? Is it because we're so focused on what should have, or what will happen? Are we really so curious that we cloud our minds with thoughts of things that aren't relevant to our present lives? Could it be that we would be happier if we just stopped wondering? Or are we supposed to wonder about these things? We all think of where we'd like to be and what we'd like to be doing in the future, but we should be more worried about how we'll get there. It's not rocket science, we need to learn how to plan without planning ahead. Planning ahead is only good for a short period; i.e. planning a lunch date for the weekend. If you plan ahead for the next year, the time will come for those plans to be put to use and you're likely to have forgotten all about them. Our memories don't work like that. We're built to live in the present, so why do we plan ahead? The thought of it is nice, but we have to worried about getting from now to then. Otherwise we may end up right where we are, there's no fun in that. Stop struggling and live for today, tomorrow will come soon enough.
